Boston Dynamics made a bit of a breakthrough with this quadruped robot:

Although all the principal pieces of technology that went into this machine have been around for quite some time now, BD have managed to piece all the various bits together in a remarkably efficient way! And writing this bug's software must have been a sheer delight!
