Folks, suggest you visit
http://www.window2baku.com
. It is an excellent and up-to-date site about Baku and surrounding areas. You can also receive from that site first-hand information on on-going amateur archeological research on the Absheron peninsula that the owner of the site contributes to. It is really amazing how much history is buried right under our feet, and how much of it is irretrievably lost to the chaotic property development on the peninsula.

mm...I was surprised by this-"Окончил
механико-математический
факультет Бакинского Государственного Университета")
I know a woman who has collected huge amount of information about Baku-we tried to create something like that(with her help) at school, but...you know how teenagers are organized)

Why wouldn't you consider contributing to that site? I know that they are ever hungry for new stuff
Can start with your little page right here and even link it smoothly and transparently back to that site. And slow progress is better than no progress at all...

Will you give up using these Open Source things Roy, for everybody and everywhere?
Nice views, though. A little bit faster.
