Data Dictionary System

I deposited a sample programme on http://www.maharramov.com under the “Technology” heading that demonstrates the use of BP FreeDDS Unix library in large-scale seismic data processing. The programme converts Marmousi synthetic data into a Free DDS dataset (something some in ENG11 are already familiar with Smiley ). If you choose a career related to Geophysics or large-scale data processing, I recommend that you learn and use Free DDS. You will find more details on the site.

I have deposited some more of my stuff:
- a  parallel programme that implements high-precision arithmetic that does NOT reqiure OpenMP/MPI - comes with detailed set-up instructions, C++ source files and a control script in Perl;
- a programme that efficiently solves the "generalised Hanoi Tower" problem and provides comparison with what others had come up with earlier; and again, detailed instructions and sources are provided

.. and other people's stuff
- an OpenMP medical simulation programme (done with others) - a paper and source code are provided.

Everything runs on Linux. Hanoi can be ported to Microsloth...

The latest DDS source code, samples, C and Fortran tutorial and much more can be found at the updated DDS website

http://www.freeusp.org/DDS/index.html

Wiki is not configured yet, but it's part of the download package and you can set it up on your own webserver if you work in a group. However, I suggest that those of you who use DDS use this forum as a Wiki. Wink
